Visual Identity Package

During my junior year at Iowa State, I took a visual communications course. For the final, we were to create a business and make a visual identity package for it. I chose to create a dance studio called troupe 13. Below, you will find some parts of the final; all created with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign.

Writing and Graphic Design

Magazine Feature

Here is an example of a magazine feature I wrote for my Public Relations Writing course. In this class, we had three real-world clients that we created various writing examples for. This is a magazine feature I wrote for Pure Mountain Fun, a ski product company.

Infographic

Here is an infographic I made as part of my job responsibilities at the Office of Equal Opportunity at Iowa State. It relates to Title IX and responsible employees.

Website Creation

During my time as an intern for the Office of Equal Opportunity, I helped completely revamp their website. My goal was to make it look cohesive and easily digestible.

As I mentioned in the about section of this website, I enjoy dancing. I danced for 15 years, 6 of which were competitively. I even got the opportunity to dance in New York City at Broadway Dance Center. I posted this video to my TikTok in June of 2023, over 3 years since I danced last. While I am nowhere near as good as I used to be, it is still therapeutic for me and will always bring me great joy.

Drawing

Before I changed my major to public relations, I was in interior design. One of my design classes was largely drawing based. I did a lot of different types of drawing for this class but this one was my favorite. It is an imagined space, one-point perspective. It took a lot of hard work and was very time consuming but I am proud of myself. Doing hard things can sometimes be rewarding. :)

(To read more about my major switch and how it affected me, read my "A Change of Heart" blog on the blog section of this website.)
